Responsibilities:

Administration of servers (Windows and Linux) on site and the cloud, network, VPN, firewall, antivirus, CRM, Intranet, Extranet, phone system, central logs and users
authentication and authorization;
Support the employees’ workstations, locally and remotely;
Apply security controls and measures to meet some ISO 27001
requirements;
Create policies, procedures and guides to keep the data confidentiality, integrity
and availability.

Achievements:

Established a procedure to create, modify and delete user accounts on systems and applications, according to identity management best practices;
Audited the systems and applications to unify user accounts with actual employees, positions and departments;
Inventoried all the IT assets in the company;
Redesigned the architecture with a preproduction environment to mitigate the risk of including bugs in the production environment.

November 2008 – December 2016:

Responsibilities:

Classroom materials preparation, students marking and tutoring;
Seeking local IT companies for students' stages and follow up;
Management of a team of 70 teachers for one year;
Administration of network, servers, workstations, digital boards and projectors of a high school for two years.

Achievements:

Designed the architecture of a high school network to have a firewall, DMZ, web services, Moodle, storage services, DNS, backups and redundancy of services;
Instructed the teachers in Educational Technologies for two years.

March 1999 – October 2008:

Information Technology and Security Analyst at Indra Sistemas, Barcelona, Spain

Established of an ISMS based on ISO 27001 in an ITIL environment for three years:

Audited the systems and network;
Managed security incidents in a SOC;
Assessed and authorized Request for Change (RFC);
Created the information security policies, procedures, guides and manuals;
Assessed the IT security risks and proposed controls for mitigation;
Assessed the vulnerabilities found on systems and planned the corresponding RFC.

Acted as a link between Project Managers (PM) and System Managers for four years:

Managed several projects simultaneously;
Established technical requirements;
Guided PM on security controls and procedures, standards and best practices;
Kept up-to-date physical maps and inventories of systems, clients and configurations;
Supported administrators to solve incidents during production deployments.

Offered technical support to customers (in-bound and out-bound calls) and specialized support to co-workers and partners;
On site installations and configurations for customers;
Offered training (Linux and Irix system administration and high computing capabilities) for customers and partners;
Elaborated schedules and budgets for courses.
